OT: Can you add multiple attachments to a thread?

I wanted to post a couple of attachments to a thread. The first one was added ok. When I added the second, the thread seemed to disable the first but the second was added ok. Can you add more than one attachment to a thread.

Clicking the Browse button only permits one file at a time and attempts to add a second file replace the first. Maybe it's possible but I can't see anything in the thread edit screen that supports multiple attachments. I suppose I could create multiple replies and add an attachment to each one but that seems a little wasteful and tends to lose the context where I'd like to keep the attachments together because they complement each other.

Ideas?
