If I create a shortcut it goes, by default, into the featue called Feature Independent. Is there anyway I can change the shortcut I created and put it into another feature instead? I know I can delete the shortcut and then select the feature I want to put it in and then create the shortcut again.
I tried searching the MSI code but I could not find an obvious reference to my shortcut and the feature its been assigned to. So, is it possible to reassign a shortcut and move it from the default feature to another without having to recreate the shortcut?
I guess this question might apply to anything that's added to a project and not just shortcuts alone.

I think I might have found an answer. I created a new feature and assigned a shortcut to it. I then noticed the MSI code added a web media statement like the snippet below. It seems all I need to do is add an equivalent bit of code to link the shortcut to the feature. It'll probably be quicker though to delete and recreate the shortcut in this case.
[DEFINE WEB MEDIA FEATURETEST]
Get Component FEATURETEST Selection State into Variable SELECTED
if Variable SELECTED Equals TRUE
Create Shortcut $DESKTOPDIR$\\Vinnige Fred to $TARGETDIR$\\fred.txt
end
