Debug Build

Post by ibenet »

Since I changed my project to build a single file I cannot debug my script.
I keep getting a "Please make a debug build..."
I played around with project settings: built to CD, compiled, checked my project settings (as I read about project variables in other posts - I do not have variables-); I cannot get my project to debug.
How do I make a debug build?
Thanks.

Set to uncompressed, or check the debug build option in the Project Options dialog.

IA 9; I have checked the debug build option in the Project Options dialog AND set to uncompressed (not needed, theoretically) and I still get 'Please make a Debug build of your project before running it in the IDE."

Yes. My output folder was supplied by a compiler variable. For debug to work, the output folder must be "hard coded" in the properties. After I set the output folder to a string literal in the properties, it would actually build a debug build and debug it.
