Hi,

due to Windows 7 there have been a lot of "false" notifications for our products: "this program might not have installed correctly". I had a little research and now I am aware of the problem. Since it is caused by a missing registry entry I was wondering when Install Aware will provide a Version that will fix this issue.

I am using Install Aware 8.

This false-positive is already fixed in InstallAware 9.

Hey Michael,

thank you. Actually I was not planning to buy IA 9 only to avoid this bug... This should be fixed for IA 8 as well since this issue also appeared on Vista systems.

So I was wondering if there are update for IA 8 that get rid of this problem.

The bug is actually in Windows - InstallAware 8 is fully compatible and runs just fine. Hence the term false positive. InstallAware 9 simply works around this Windows bug.
