Starting a .NET service

Post by sdolan »

Hi, my installer needs to install a couple of .NET services.

I've successfully got it to do this by following the steps:

Install Files... to copy over the necessary files
Apply Install...
Run .NET Installer Class... to install the service.

This is all good. I run into a problem though when I want to _start_ the service. I can't use 'Control Service' because I believe I would have to put the command before the 'Apply Install' command and at this point in the script, the service does not exist, so the command fails.

How can I start my .Net services?

That's a good question. You can do it by adding a second Apply Install after the Control Service command.
