I was wondering if it is possible to turn off the Recieve Application Updates flag when creating a msi via Group Policy? Seems like I found this parameter at one time but I cant for the life of me find it now. Reason I ask is I would like my standard install package be able to schedule updates but not when I create the .msi since updates will be deployed via AD/Group Policy.
Thanks in advance-
Ry
Group Policy and Receive Application Updates
Re: Group Policy and Receive Application Updates
There is a flag you can check in your installation that if the GPOPATH is specified, then you know you are doing a group policy deployment and you can do what you want.

Spot on. From help (pre-defined variables):
GPOPATH: If an uncompressed directory layout is used, this variable is empty. If setup has not been deployed through Group Policy, this variable is empty. Otherwise set to the full path of the folder containing the Single File MSI that started the current installation.
