Preselecting a radio button

Post by NickDay »

I have a custom dialog with a number of radio buttons. When it's displayed, none of them are selected. I'd like to force one of them to be selected when the dialog is first displayed.

In my dialog design (i.e. in the User Interface Editor) for one of my radio buttons, I have set 'Checked' to True. The other radio buttons have 'Checked' set to False. In the dialog preview in the editor, the 'Checked' button is shown selected, and the others are shown unselected. So far so good.

But when the dialog is displayed in the installer as it runs, none of the radio buttons is selected.

Is there something more I need to do?

Dear NickDay,

This works perfectly for me. My best guess is that you forgot to save your dialog with the checkbox checked or that you are showing a different dialog than the one you are displaying..

Nick, I think this might help. I had the same problem.

Thanks for your replies. Bokkie has it -- I needed to set TRUE (not just create) the variable associated with the radio button.
