Hello
We have a situation where a user has visual studio 2008 64-bit runtime installed. Our application is a 32-bit application and when we run our installation, trying to install the VC 2008 32-bit runtime, it was not installed. When we manually ran vcredist_86x on the machine, the 32-bit runtime was installed.
Questions
1) How do we force the installation via MSI of the 32bit VC runtime?
2) How does checkvc91 determine which version of the runtime to install e.g. 32 bit or 64 bit?
We are running Installaware 9.2.

Re: Installing 32bit VC Runtime on machine with 64bit Runtim
Hey Anton,
What I would suggest is to debug the installer - run step-by-step it on a machine with the same conditions, and watch for where the script determines that your runtime is not to be installed.
