I am building a single package for x86 & x64.
I have this as my script.
Code: Select all
[DEFINE REGION: Check/Install Application Pre-Requisites]
Get System Setting Windows in 64 bit Mode into ISWINDOWS64BIT
<<Code Folding Region>>
Comment: Check setup pre-requisites
Set Variable PREREQ to FALSE
Set Variable PRELIST to
[compiler if Variable BUILDMODE not Equals PATCH]
if Variable NEEDSUPGRADE Equals TRUE
Set Variable PREREQ to TRUE
Set Variable PRELIST to $PRELIST$$NEWLINE$Previous Version Uninstallation
end
Include Script: checkmsi31
if Variable ISWINDOWS64BIT Equals True
Include Script: checksqlcompact4_x64
Include Script: checknet4aip_x64
else
Include Script: checksqlcompact4
Include Script: checknet4aip_x86
end
................
if Variable ISWINDOWS64BIT Equals True
[DEFINE WEB MEDIA Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition 4.0 (x64)]
Include Script: setupsqlcompact4_x64
[DEFINE WEB MEDIA Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (x64)]
Include Script: setupnet4aip_x64
else
[DEFINE WEB MEDIA Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition 4.0]
Include Script: setupsqlcompact4
[DEFINE WEB MEDIA Microsoft .NET Framework 4]
Include Script: setupnet4aip_x86
end
The script works fine on a x86 enviroment however on a 64 bit it fails. I get an error
Why does the 32bit install work however the 64bit fails?"SQL Server Compact x86 installation package is not supported on x64 Operating System, please try with SQL Server Compact x64 installation package."
Does anyone know what im doing wrong?
Thanks
