Install New Files During Unistall

Is it Possible To Install New files During Uninstall?

Hi,

It is possible, but you would have to call Apply Install again after the Apply Uninstall (unless the native engine is being used, but even in that case, you have to install your files after calling uninstall).

Of course - basically, in our installers, all changes are applied by calling the Apply Changes commands (Apply Install, Apply Uninstall and so forth).
When you use Apply Uninstall, the installer will roll back everything that happened in the Apply Install call.
Therefore, you would want to install the file after the call to Apply Uninstall. Does that make more sense?

Are you using IA 11 or 12? If so you can switch to native engine mode and then you can do anything you want without using apply install etc. If you're using earlier versions you'll have to do what Aviv suggests.

One other thing, I can't remember if native mode was in version 10 as I no longer have it installed. I will be quiet now in case I mislead you further.

i am using 12 now but i can not get installing files during installation,i tried calling apply install in if condition if var remove equals true apply install get result into success
install file.... apply unistall get result into var success
but i can not get it work..
can u help me plz?

Make sure that you call Apply Install AFTER calling Apply Uninstall - is that what you are doing?
