I am evaluating InstallAware 2012 and ran into an issue.
I am trying to exclude a file from an Install Files command that uses a *.* in the Source files
the file is a .net configuration file which follows the format:
MyProgram.exe.config
I have tried entering the file name in the Exclude Wildcards box and tried MyProgram.exe.* and in both cases the file is still installed to the target directory.
I do have other config files that are in the folder that need to be installed so I can't just use "*.config*, but I did try to exclude *.config which worked and then I tried to install files *.config from the source folder with an exclusion of MyProgram.* but that still installed the file anyway.
The help file just says to enter the file names I want to exclude, but that does not appear to be working.
Install Files exclusion not working
Re: Install Files exclusion not working
Is this expected behavior or am I doing something wrong with the exclusion field?
