Writing to Advantage tables

Hi

I am writing my first InstallAware script, in version 2012. The application I am installing uses Advantage Database Server tables. For the most part, the script just copies the advantage tables onto the target machine, which is fine.

However, in one of the dialogs I invite the customer to enter his company name, address, telephone etc. These details are stored in variables. They then need to be written into an advantage table on the target machine so that they can be used on invoices, credit notes etc.

Can someone explain to me the procedure to do this in InstallAware?

Hi Martin,

I am afraid IA does not have builtin integration with Advantage.
You would have to find a way to do this outside of IA, and then invoke it from IA using the Run Program command.
