Hi:
Our setup has to keep several password input from installation to re-use during the uninstallation. Just wonder if IA has a mechanism to do so? Since it's the password, I don't want to keep them in a text file.
If anyone has a good approach for that, please share.
Thanks
Nhan
keep user input for uninstallation?
Re: keep user input for uninstallation?
Nhan,
I'll offer a quick shoot-from-the-hip suggestion. Perhaps you could write them to the registry and read them back when needed? I guess you'd probably need some encryption as well but I can't think of anything that does that. I wonder if that licence key example project gives further insight?

Hi Nhan,
as previously "bokkie" said, it is just to find a way most appropriate to accomplish your specific needs. That could be, to save a values in the registry or some particular files somewhere.
Anyway it could be much more better, if you can find a way to do this using cryptographic functions to keep those infos (Encryption / Decryption).
If you want, you can have a look a the following topic, it is available a plugin to handle cryptographics needs.

Hope this helps you.
