Path Version doesn't show in Programs & features

I have a sample .net project sample (attempted with many projects)

- built a 1.0.0, web build -> put exe aside
- change version to 1.0.1
- attach patch reference to first exe, web build, build patch

- install 1.0.0 exe
- install 1.0.1 patch -> success...

- new dlls were patched to 1.0.1
- check Version in Setup-> "programs & features" is still 1.0.0

so a patch does not change initial version through all patches.
I attemps many ways, many times, to no avail and with great frustration.
is this intended behavior ?

Dear Altagir,

With patch the version number it is not changed in ARP and to be more precise, should not be changed in project version too.

For my personal experience, changing the Project version causes patch build exectution to fail ... so it is strange that worked in your case.
