I am trying to use 'Control Service' to 'start on install' the MSDTC service that is part of the OS. Using it in always results in a Permission Denied message. However, I can successfully start/stop the service by issuing this in a command window: sc start MSDTC
I have the install elevate to administrator and still I cannot start the service using your 'Control Service' directive. If I add the 'sc start MSDTC' to the run program section, all is good and it works.
What do I need to do to ?? Is there a bug with Control Service ?? Is there a permission I need to grant during the install ??
Help.

Re: Control Service permission issues
Dear User,
unfortunately that service requires additional permissions that actually are not possible to specify using Control Service IA command.

The only opportunity that you have to complete it successfully is using "Run Program" command.
I used the following and works fine.
Hope this helps you.
