Patch works only once 2

Hi,
i have the same issue as described on the http://www.installaware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=11554 post,
but i cannot see the msp file in add/remove programs in order to remove the patch.

Also if i re-run the msp it prompts that removal of patch is not allowed.

The OS is win 7 64bit.

The only thing that we can do in order to repair the installation, is remove and reinstall....

Please advice

I just checked the setups in the rar file that exist on the following post http://www.installaware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9343 ,
and it has exactly the same behavior...

patch installation doesn't add any entry to add remove program.

Ok, patch installation does not add an entry to the Updates History in add remove programs...

But what about the main issue?

The repair mode of the installer, removes the files installed by the patch and does not put the original files back unless you remove and reinstall....

It is a very common senario for an end-user to repair an installation...

Dear Micheal,

I am still verifying it, that's the reason why I did not reply to your post.
I'm not totally sure, but I suspect this is the MSI engine standard behaviour due the modification of the file table references applied by a patch.

I'll be back as soon as I have enough information.
