Find All Users

This command searches for users on a target system, optionally filters them by criteria, and returns results in a string variable. The returned user names are delimited by the | character. If some of the returned user names contain embedded spaces, those user names will additionally be wrapped inside double quote " characters.

Variable

Enter the variable to hold the list of users.

Enabled accounts with profile folders

If checked, only user accounts that are enabled, and have an existing user profile folder are returned.

If unchecked, accounts that are disabled and/or lack a user profile folder are also returned.

Unlocked and unexpired accounts

If checked, only accounts which have not expired and which have not been locked are returned.

If unchecked, accounts that have expired and/or have been locked are also returned.

Computer

Enter the name of the remote computer to conduct the user search on, or leave empty to search the local device.

 Notes

• If no matching users are found, the variable entered in the Variable field will be an empty string.
• You may easily navigate the results returned by this command using the For Each...Next loop constructs.
• You may easily convert a provided user name to a SID (or vice versa) using the Convert SID command.
• User names for well-known SIDs are excluded by this command (NT AUTHORITY\*).
