Patch problem: Wrong location of files
I have a web install that I have created patches for. If the user accepts the default install destination in the original installation, the patches will work fine. However, if the user changed the default location for the original install the patch process will patch the files but put them in the default location leaving the original install unchanged. It also updated any shortcuts created back to the default location and of course if the user has created his own shortcuts these do not get updated. Is there a fix for this? Or am I doing something wrong? TIA.

I just tried this for you, and was unable to reproduce. Make sure you've read the help file section on Patching and have followed the steps. Especially be careful with the product, revision, and upgrade codes.

Oh, I think there might have been a problem with 5.1. Can you try with 6.0?
