How to disable 'set Variable commands' for localization??

Post by cew3 »

I have a big problem localizing my setup.

If I have a statement like "Set Variable X to 5" and translate the setup to e.g. german I will get the value 5 with english or german langugae.

That's ok so far.

But now I have to change the value in the script from 5 to 10 and rebuild the setup.

Now i will get the value 10 using english, but still get 5 using german.
This is caused by the translated "Set Variable Command" in the language mapping.

How can I disable the translation of "Set Variable Commands"???

It's not possible to export the whole script again and override the already translated texts for just a variable value which is part of the scripts algorithm! If I export the languages again with keeping the old translations I'll never get rid of the old values!

Please help!

What I usually do is copy and paste the command and delete the original. That way there is no translation for the new command until the next translation run.
It's a pain to always remember to do this whenever you change a set variable command.
There are some options regarding how the commands are translated, but I didn't find enough documentation to give it a try. And I didn't have the time so far to experiment.
