Problem with debugging

I am testing the application out.

I am trying to debug msi code.
It keeps giving me the message. "Please make a debug build of your project..."

I can see when I compile it is putting it in the release directory.
How do i switch the compile to debug mode?

If you use InstallAware 8 you need to:

1- Select Project settings from the main menu
2- In the Project Options windows click on the Build node
3- Check the option Debug build
