Thanks for that input.
At the time, we don't have the resources to create the runtime for you. You have all the resources you need right here in this post to create it yourself.
I have noted this as a feature request and when time and resources permit, we'll investigate this potential need for WIC and include it as a .Net4 dependent runtime.

Re: Framework 4.0 Pre-req missing
Hi,
I was just curious if there has been any update on this? We are now starting to install .net 4 and are seeing the WIC requirement come up on several machines running WEPOS (w/SP3) and POSReady 2009.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Framework 4.0 Pre-req missing
I never heard anything again from them, so I am guessing my request for help went in to the not important pile. As we regularly need to build releases for both WEPOS and POSReady, we ended up switching to Installshield. It worked perfectly first time.
From what I see IA is like a mix of purchased and opensource software, they seem to rely heavily on end users to find and publish solutions to things which other packages like installshield already do as standard.
To be 100% honest I do not expect any resolution to this issue, unless a user creates it and publishes it.

Re: Framework 4.0 Pre-req missing
Dear InstallAware users,
There are many runtimes out there, and we obviously can't add all of them to our IDE. However, not only that a significant, continuously growing number of runtimes are already available inside our IDE, but we also give you the option to create your own pre-req runtimes in minutes. Please refer to this excellent tutorial and let me assure you that creating a new runtime is a matter of a few minutes (and even less after the first one).
