Installation error
Installation error
I am receiving the following error "You must be an Administrator to remove this application. To remove this application, you can log on as an Administrator, or contact your technical support group for assistance." My thought is to elevate the permissions for the installer so any user type can install without receiving this error. Is there a way we can accomplish that?

Re: Installation error
The install project is setup as "asInvoker(Never Elevate)" since the majority of the users have less than standard user permissions. The error also occured on an XP machine so the Vista UAC option is out of the question.
Re: Installation error
Hi,
Are you installing files any locations other than the TARGETDIR?

Re: Installation error
No all the files are going to the $TARGETDIR$. We are not running any other executables or anything it is just a straight forward install.
Re: Installation error
bryan,
Could you please create a setup from the Basic Setup template, add a file (a text file for example) to be installed to $TARGETDIR$, build and run it and let me know if you are experiencing the same thing?
