Log file location

Post by BlackNight »

I have created an install package that should copy 2 of the newly installed files from the install location of the app location here is the command I used :
It could depending on the value selected on one of the interview screens copy one of 3 different files
if Variable xxx13Installed Equals (Ignore Case) True
Copy Local Files $TARGETDIR$\addons\xxx13\Interop.xxx.dll to $TARGETDIR$\Interop.xxx.dll
end
The files are in the addons\??? folder but are not copied to the TARGETDIR folder.

What I would like to know is where is the installer log file located if there is one. I would like to
see what the xxx13Installed variable is and also if there was an error, and what it is.

Thanks

Paul,

Use the LOGGED predefined variable for the log file location.

My guess is that you are not using the Native Engine - therefore, all install / copy commands you call go into a queue and only actually run when you call apply install.

Please turn on the Native Engine and that will most likely solve your problem (Set Variable NATIVE_ENGINE to TRUE).

That worked..

Thank you!!

Is there place on your site that tells me what changed between version 10.10 and the latest version 2012?
Why should I update to v2012?

Thanks
