Application Runtimes Local Scripts

Post by rxelizondo »

Hello,

It appears to me that when I select an “Application Runtime” from the “Application Runtimes” section, InstallAware appears to make *copies* of the source application runtime scripts and puts the new copies next to my InstallAware project (mpr file).

So my question are:

1) Are the script completely independent copies from the source scripts?

2) What happens if I modify the scripts on my project? Would InstallAware undo my changes if for example there was a fix to the script authored by InstallAware? In other words, will InstallAware detect that there is a newer version and automatically overwrite my local copy?

3) Is it possible that for some reason InstallAware would modify the source scripts with changes I make to my local copies?

Thanks.

Dear User,

for what I know, I have never anything like occurred.

Are you able to reproduce it in any way?

Reproduce what? I was asking a question not reporting a problem.

Thanks.

My response was already in my previous message.

InstallAware do not replace automatically your existing script project. Unless you do it.

Then I asked that question just to be sure that you did not have a problem, that's it.
