Authenticode and Code sign - difference ??

I don't mean this to sound like a stupid question, but here goes ...

What is the diffrerence between the authenticode option under Build settings, and the Code sign button on the Design tab at the top of the form. Does one sign my application exe and the other sign the installaware setup.exe? If so which is which.

Ref the Code sign on the Design tab, do I have to remember to click the Sign button manually each time, or is it all automated as part of the build process?

In other words ... how do I make sure my application exe AND the installaware setup.exe are both signed - preferably automatically?

Dear Stephen,

Yes it is correct, authenticode option under Build settings will sign the setup during build and the Code sign button on the Design tab will sign any other file.

Actually only authenticode option under Build settings it is automatically executed with the build process.

If you want you could use signtool command line tool available in "authenticode" folder under your InstallAware installation directory.
You could automate the all build process using a batch file that, first signs your executables and then call miabuild to execute the setup build.
