Update wizard problem

Post by candrade »

Hi, I have a problem with the update wizard. I created a patch, added that patch to an update pack, and then assigned that update pack to a version. Whew. Then I posted the updates and the updates.ini file to my "Monitor URL". Run the setup.exe /update from my remote machine and it notifies me of the update. I download it then run it. So far so good.

Now I didn't realize that the 'patch' had a password so I canceled the patch setup. Get the password from the build guy, but now I can't re-run the patch. When I re-run setup.exe /update it silently finishes and doesn't think there is an update to run (when actually there is). Basically, if a downloaded update is interrupted for any reason, it is forever lost, never to be found again.

How can we fix this??

You can customize the update client code which is in the script updates.mia.
