Restart IIS

Postby rlangham » Fri Jul 27, 2007 2:56 pm

I am needing to restart IIS after the install. I see that I can Stop and Stop a specific IIS, but is there a way to wait for the Stop to complete before doing a Start.

In previous install using another vendor's installation package (which I am desperately trying to get out of .. IS ), I would do a Start and Stop on the World Wide Web Service. I see that there are methods to Start and Stop service, so if I need to use this, then similar question, is there a way to know when Stop is done before doing Start.

Thanks,
Ron

You can use the Run Program, command to run "net stop w3svc" and wait for the program to return before completion.
